Lovely Girl
There’s a lovely girl
In a messed up world and
It makes it hard
For her to see she’s lovely
There’s a lovely girl
In a messed up world and
Now she looks in the mirror and
Says she’s not lovely
There’s a lovely girl
In her own little world and
She’s stopped eating dinner
Because she doesn’t feel lovely
There’s a lovely girl
In a hospital gown and
Even though her bones may show
She still feels like she’s not lovely
There’s a lovely girl and
There’s blood on the floor and
She tells herself with all her scars
She’ll never be lovely
There’s a lovely girl
In a therapy room an
She’s a mess in her head
Because she’s never felt lovely
There’s a broken girl
In a messed up world and
Now as hard as I may try
I can’t convince her she’s lovely
