She Is
Her hunched shoulders say she is unconfident;
The ways she shifts her weight from foot to foot says she is malcontent;
The scars hidden on her skin and in her heart say she has been hurt before;
The people around her say that her heart once did soar, but not anymore;
She is curious, says her eyes, she wants to experience everything and explore the skies;
She is sad, says the night as it listens to her cries;
The sun sees her yells and shouts of rage;
Her emotions report she feels as though she is trapped in a cage;
And she is broken beyond repair;
And she has no one who is their to care;
And her heart is broken, her mind full of pain and regret;
And she is alone,
Alone,
Alone,
She has been left alone.
