Opened Eyes
Always found it strange,
the way you could love someone
who didn't necessarily love you
how's that work anyway?
the one sided, not so mutual love
never made much sense to me
to anyone for that matter
but then I realized
it's safer that way
to invest your love in someone who could go without it
because even though it hurts to not have that feeling fed back to you
the limit of pain stops there
that person can not hurt you any more or less because the feeling is simply not mutual
then, it had all made sense.
