lost friend
Your face haunts me,
Like a ghost from my past,
I cry out for you and hear the deadly screech of silents on your lips,
I prey that time rewinds and brings me back to you,
I'm left without a clue,
For time remains still,
Ticking away like the slow beating of my heart,
In a fog of broken glass,
Memories cloud my mine,
My eyes start to burn,
My cheek is now wet as a single tear crashes to the earth,
In a splash of agony,
I start to cry.
