“This shall last not a day longer”
said he the brave knight
“For I shall kill the monster
that has made us fear day and night”
And as he parted into the shadowy woods
people said “he is a son of god for all his actions are good,
as tears felt from their watery eyes
they kept saying “such a man never dies
for he is to live forever in our hearts”
As he walked beneath the red moon
the thoughts of glory blinded his mind
so when he killed the beast and caved it’s tomb.
He couldn’t see he had just walked into his doom.
Once he was back he didn’t drank from the king’s wine.
He was, instead, received with fear and treated unkind.
He never got what he was promised: gold and merits of the best hunter,
for he who kills the beast shall take the place of the monster.

Ugh, this is such nice narrative poetry! Careful with your grammer (it's -> its) and make sure every sentence makes sense and tells the reader a full story. Waste no spaces! Unecessary words are a killer. Otherwise, beautifully told :)
