A Broken Heart
You can't kiss away the broken pieces of a heart. You can't mend the cracks whole with an apology. Its impossible, thinking you can write I'm sorry on a piece of paper.Shove it into the holes your mistakes leave me to live with. The holes that I plummet into each time you flash your smile my direction.
Its dark, the emptiness feels like I fell into my own idea of physical depression. I just want you to see me again, the way you saw me before you saw her. I want to tremble at your touch before you found yourself holding her. I want you to love me, like you've always loved her. I can't seem to hide my tears anymore. They crawl out of my eyes. Reaching for you to brush them off of my cheek. You told me 'I love you'. I guess you were speaking to the person behind me.You stole my heart, the blood is running dry.If you listen close enough you can still hear it break inside.
