Secrets
As I listen to the sounds of the outdoors,
I sit here and wonder, to what secrets they have heard,
The plot of running away from the secret relationships,
The crying of the girl whose boyfriend had cheated,
The laughter from a child being chased by their father,
The yelling of an owner to a pet,
And I wonder how it sounds to the onlookers of the wild,
Can they feel the pain, happiness, or sadness?
Or is it just lost into space?
And I listen to the wind and try to hear these secrets,
So I can get a glimpse of the past.
