Just a Smile
I slid my fingers
into the spaces between yours.
You squeezed, turned and gave me the sweetest smile.
Your smile.
A smile causing a burst of butterflies fluttering around the empty space of my stomach.
A smile instantly causing my eyes to focus on your lips, and crave your kiss.
A smile that made me stop dead in my tracks to view you in all your entirety.
I looked into your eyes and smiled too
you tilted your head with endearment
And we were silent
Silent because those 3 familiar words
didn't need to be said out loud with us.
