the arms of blackness

she came from
the skies
with a soul to search for
inflamed with
ebony sketched
throughout her limbs
she came with the
fire defeated
by the sunlight
gifting the lost with the
keepsake of
an incurable illness
her arms were
shredded by the
blinding descent of
hope as it began to
glisten in my darkened
brown eyes.
