Under the waves
The wind blows against my window at night.
While i'm supposed to be sleeping.
But I rarely dream.
I rarely sleep.
The silence tells me stories in the dark.
Stories of a girl much like myself…
Drowning in a river of her own thoughts.
And when i close my eyes,
sleep seems to run from me.
As if i was the very monster that kept myself awake.
That keeps me awake.
That holds my head underneath the waves.
What if it is me after all?
