The Toy
The Toy
This is the brand new toy that everybody wants,
But unlike usual toys,
The company only made one of them.
Everybody is willing to pay anything,
Just so they can have this toy.
Little do the common people want to admit,
Is that they will never be able to afford this toy.
As soon as it was announced that this toy was coming out,
The richest man in the world had already bought the toy.
The news had not even made it to the common people.
The richest man in the world did not care about this toy,
So he simply gave it to his son.
Instead of keeping it as a collectable,
He just gives it to his son who will be tired of it tomorrow.
That same day, his son had left it at school.
The next day, all the kids were fighting over the toy.
It was pulled, tugged, dropped, scratched, and drooled on.
This one of a kind toy that had been out for only 2 day
Was now broken, worthless, and unwanted.
This toy was thrown away, never to be played with again.
Then came along just a common old man,
He was walking by the schools trash when he finds this toy.
The man quickly grabs the toy and runs as fast as he can.
He runs so no one thinks he has stolen the toy.
When he gets to his house,
He cleans the toy off as well as he can.
He sets the toy down in front of him and looks at the toy.
He figures out what he needs to fix the toy,
And slowly, little by little, fixes the toy
To look brand new, just like it just left the factory.
This man cherishes the toy and lets no one touch this toy.
This toy never saw the rough hands of a child again,
But rather the toy saw the gentile hands of its owner.
The old man saved this toy till the day he died.
Then this toy went to a museum,
Where all the children of the world could see the toy.
They could only see the toy though,
That way the toy would never be broken again.
