this is where your life begins.
adulthood is just around the corner,
but you still need to ask
to use the restroom.
you're a year older, wiser,
but sit down and shut up
until the bell rings.
you need to take responsibility
for your actions,
but if your parents don't sign this,
you can't participate.
you are eighteen years old.
it's time to make lifelong decisions,
but please,
follow the rubric.
