Salvation
Poetry-unscrupulous art
Fragile and blatant deception
Pervert the truth
Weave it into a handkerchief
And wipe the mud
From the Satan’s face
I learned to interpret
Her cynical poetry
She may have slipped me forgiveness
By carrier pigeon
Being Winter I knew
It would never arrive
But still I find nuance
In every ripple of her laughter
Smear my face with the handkerchief
Stubborn mind of mine
Caught up in frailties
Unique to
This facet of the universe
Too caught up in her poetry
The ripples of her laughter
To ever consider
Salvation
