They fell from grace,
with a dead-eyed grin.
never to touch,
the golden good again.
Heaven and hell,
Never cared very well,
For the angels like them and their kin.
The wicked snare,
caught and grasped,
Those once-were angels,
In a devils trap.
And hell beneath heels never spit them back.
While widows cried,
and the ravens laughed.
