(The) Unknown
Exploring, surrounded, enhanced
an adventure, though not for the good.
The three of us,
all alone,
marsh, mud, mountains.
Sun shined in the moment,
though not for long,
Soon day would break,
As would our journey,
bring us to rest.
Where we were going,
I didn't know.
Where we were going,
only they knew.
Each of us carried,
belongings on our back.
I don't know what they brought,
I don't know what they have,
I don't know who they are.
A mission, twas I on,
to the unknown.
