Equal as Can Be
Maya Angelou
a girl of color
she just wanted to fit in
wanted the world to see,
we are all the same
equal as can be.
She spoke using words
imagining the image in her head,
she wants to be free
she wants to live
the American dream.
She wanted the world to see,
everyone is equal
no matter what they may be
no hate no harm,
just let everyone
be free.
Love towards everyone
no matter what race,
no judging by the look
of their face
acceptance of every race
