Don't Forget to Remember
She felt like a failure on that fear filled day,
She found herself having to push her angel out of the way,
She was for sure the angel would break her heart because she wouldn’t stay.
Then once again, what if…her last angel really did go away.
She would cry out in distress and say, “Don’t forget to remember…”
All those times that you saved me from myself…
All those times when I needed someone and you were the only one there…
You were like a rainbow on a rainy day.
You are the one that helped me find my way.
Oh, please… “Don’t forget to remember…”
All those tears, all that pain,
All that sun, covered by the rain.
That’s exactly how I felt every day.
For some reason you were the only one that could help me in any way.
Maybe I came here just to meet you,
You would help me change my life view.
Maybe God just knew…
But when I am gone, just please…
“Don’t forget to remember…”
Me.
