Take a sneak peek behind this curtain,
Look under this surface and see that things are all quite weary for certain.
I may sound pitiful and really not right in the mind,
But everything is so lost, sanity is impossible to find.
Underneath the falsehoods of laughter is a malicious Hoax,
The dark pit of my soul is being choked.
Yes, a lot of people think that I am really messed up in the head,
But they don’t understand that I feel so lost, and alone, and dead.
People at times think that I’m really going mentally crazy,
Maybe I am really losing my mind but I really don’t care…
Because nothing anymore really ever Phases me.
There are all those hateful times when I won’t let myself cry,
This way nobody can see exactly how bad I hurt inside.
Nobody knows all the nightmares I have dreamed,
Nobody understands all the pain I have seen.
I don’t want any sympathy,
I just want people to try to understand the real me,
But then again I know that could probably never be.
