Bombs
The hues of red and orange,
Stood stark against the black canvas.
Splattered haphazardly,
By an unseeing hand.
The notes of silence and despair,
Hung in the misty air.
Called about with no tune in mind,
By a heartless hand.
The scents of fear and smoke,
Wafted through the midnight breeze.
Bottled up to share with others,
By a triumphant hand.
The differences between the sides,
So little there to see.
Pinned against one another,
By a distant man.
