Why I smile every time I see you
A smile that can light up a room
And illuminate the world
A smile that my face reserves only for you

Why I still feel butterflies
Flying in my stomach
Beckoning for me to unlock the cage in which they are trapped
Tell Me
Why I hang on to that sliver of hope
The tiny piece of you that I have
The wish from every one of my birthday candles
The desire that one day you will return the feelings I have for you
