A chance encounter
From the billions of people in the universe
I meet you
My eyes reply hello

The laughter, the fun
Everything is so simple
I am your ally
My hand implies our friendship

Secrets shared late into the night
Always attached at the hip
I only see you
My heart whispers I love you

The cloud of uncertainty gathers
Wander off in the fog
I cry for your return
My lips yearn to speak your name

The tears rain down
Goodbyes still in my throat
I know your lies
My brain screams I hate you

Drifting in the sea
The cold water stings my bones
I am numb
My lips declare I’m done
And my soul can finally agree

Awe man, this broke my heart. In the best way :) I love how simple the vocabulary and stanzas were - really raw emotion, and at the same time, I believe your voice. Really well done :)

Very interesting flow... So many things I love about this piece, but most off all I love how much it flows.
