The Way
The way the sun reflects the light off of your face.
The way the puddles splash around your feet.
The way your hands wrap gently around me.
You make me feel so loved, so comforted, so wanted.
You are the one, the only one I’ll ever need.
The way you like to cuddle, so unique, just like you.
The way you act like I’m your only one,
But you don’t mean it; at least I think you don’t
The way you look at her when you think I’m not looking
It hurts me to the core like you’ve ripped my heart out of my chest.
You see me and you think I don’t know; I do but I pretend I don’t.
I wish we could go back to the way things were before.
I need you in my life and I don’t know what I’d do without you;
But If you don’t need me then I’ll leave you be.
I guess this will be our last goodbye.
The way the sun reflects the light off of your face.
The way the puddles splash around your feet.
The way your hands wrap gently around me.
You make me feel so loved, so comforted, so wanted.
You are the one the only one I’ll ever need; I wish you felt the same.
