Your Color Doesn't Have To Be Your Race
Some days, I’m like a pomegranate, bright red, angry.
Pomegranates hold iridescent pearls like secrets.
So do I.
Other days, I’m star coral, orange.
I’m annoyed when I’m this color.
Don’t push me. I’ll explode.
Sometimes I’m sundrenched yellow, relaxed like a cat in the sun.
Serenity has captured me now.
Nothing can get me out of it’s Titanium cage.
I’m like a summer garden, green with envy.
Everybody has what I don’t have.
Why can’t I be like everyone else?
On Mondays, I’m iceberg blue.
My feet feel like lead on Mondays.
It’s like waking a bear from hibernation.
Occasionally, I’m adelaide purple.
Love is in the air when I’m this color.
I feel woozy and starry-eyed.
Rarely am I feeling black like India ink.
This is when I’m filled with abhorrence and loathing.
NO ONE stands in my way.
I can also be white mosaic
I feel nothing.
I’m like a robot with no charge.
Spiraling into endless nothingness.
