Be Watching For Feathers
There
On the dirty ground
Long abandoned
A forgotten feather
The color of memories
and Tears
and FEAR
Light as a babies’ laughter
SHED
From its owner
Like a leaf
Finished with the endless trials
RIPPED
From its structure of life
TRAMPLED
By creatures
to distracted
to care
About the simple feather
Or the bird partially bare
No thought to the significance,
the memories,
the childhood
One orphaned feather could haul
Or the heartache
and misery
That
Just
CANT
Be buried
