The Litte Girl Who Took a Walk
The lonely sad little girl fell.
She need not get up,
For there was too many cries drowning her from that one breath of salvation which was
Snatched from that little girl and stolen by the cruel wind forever from her.
She lay there face towards the ground.
She felt as if she was melting into a pool of pity, waiting to be stepped in.
The ground was a rug being pulled from under her as she falls into the deep dark sea of sorrows,
Where no light wants to be sought,
And kept a secret to those whose happiness was swept away from their bodies because, of their fear of pain.
She was slowly fading like crumbs of a breaking cliff,
Falling towards the next chance of freedom,
From that dark cave of self-imprisonment for being so dark and mysterious.
The little girl finally, but slowly lifted herself from the ground.
Feeling like the ground was mere comforting chains to keep her from the sad life ahead.
She looked at the spot at which she used to lay. It was a dark chocolate chip cookie.
Tempting her, luring her, to be filled in its rich and pleasing taste.
The little girl knew this temptation was untrustworthy.
Telling her it was better, safe if she stayed with it.
She took a step forward not knowing why,
When the spot she had felt dangerously comfortable with was standard.
She felt less pain and sorrow after the first step.
The little girl dared herself to take another step again,
Feeling the weight of the sky being lifted from her shoulders.
That little girl walked on seeking and hoping for full joy at the end of her walk.
