The End
Smiling through my teeth;
Trembling like a leaf.
My heart begins to pound,
And I cannot hear a sound
But the frantic beating of a heart
That has been torn apart
And knows it is about to die,
But cannot force itself to cry;
For if it shed a tear,
It would not be able to bear
The harsh reality
That no one else feels misery
For the death of one
Who dared to wield the gun,
And brought about the end
For a heart that could not mend.
