You and Me
you look at me
like I matter,
but you act like I don’t.
you smile at me
when I’m not looking,
but you turn away from me when I see you.
you hold me
when we’re all alone,
but you let go when others are around.
you hug me
like I’m the only person in the world,
when we both know that I’m not.
you love me
like you really mean it,
but how am I supposed to know whether or not,
you really do?
