I should be doing geometry
I should be starting that essay
But instead I'm writing poetry
And mooning away the day

Eventually the bell will ring
And my classes will be done
From acoustic guitar strings
My verses will be sung

They won't know me for my thesis
No one cares about my proofs
The only thing they'll remember me for is
My perception of the truth
