The Doors
When a door closes, another one opens
Opens up.
Breathes the air
It can be good
Or it can be
Shallow
Cruel
Or perhaps
Silent,
Kind or,
Evil
Destroys everything in your path
You try to out fun it, but you can’t
Lock it up! Never will it return!
Resurface.
Want to burn it down
She says “No.”
Who is she?
Am I insane?
Or too fragile to overcome the voices
Voices of the deep
Taking over me
Taking over me
Over my body
My mind
My heart
My soul
Burn.
You want to burn it.
Burn it down
Let it turn into ashes
Let it destroy
They already destroy you
Devious smirk splits across the face
New creature
New face
New you
Burn.Burn.Burn. Just burn.
Only takes one tiny fire.
Tiniest fire to turn into a wild fire that can destroy everything in its path
Like you did.
The fire blazes in the eyes
Then stop
It closes the revengeful eyes then turns back
Drops the gasoline, branches,everything
Then collapses on the knees
Their locked in
Can’t resurface
Won’t let it
Produces a blazing fire
Falls to the ground
Exhausted by hurt and guilt
Gazes up at the sky then watches
The ashes float
To the
Radiant purple moonlight
Above her secretive eyes watch.
