Adolescence
Sometimes I think it’s a monster out to destroy me
I get up and wonder everyday what I did to deserve it
I wish so hard that life was like a flat screen TV with a remote control
That way I could fast forward to the fun part
Other times I think to myself, “Maybe it’s not so bad”
“NOT. SO. BAD”
After all I don’t want to be old, and my only responsibility is to live life to the fullest
I understand it’s only a part of this big game
On which we all play a role
But unlike any Xbox I know, there is no redo or start over
You cannot turn back the hands of time
The only direction this boat knows is forward
So even though this may be the most overwhelmingly heart-wrenching ride of my life
I vow to enjoy and achieve something out of this cursed-blessed thing called ADOLESCENCE
