Color
There was a girl,
Her name was Red
Every day she would
Make her own bed
With bright cherry sheets
And little rose tips
With strawberry pillows
Tucked in raspberry slips
She would start her day
With a rhubarb pie
A glass of cranberries
And matching bowtie
Walking out the door
She looked up and said
"Oh lordy-lord,
What a good day to be red!"
And in her distraction
She caused quite the taboo
Took a step forward and
Right into Blue
"Oh," she then said
With an unsure smile
She hadn't seen anything
But red for a while
"Take off that sweater,
Try my bow instead!"
The boy looked to her color
Only shaking his head
"Blue is my favorite
I shant be advised"
For seeing what's right
Was a job for inside
