Coloring Book
When I was little
I sat on the carpet
Red Crayon in hand
The world was my canvas
Possibility my muse
In the dark of the morning
Watching Blue Cartoons
Silent in the corner
Sat Ominous Age
Inching slower toward me
It brought
Revenge and Rage
It brought with it
Experience, Arrogance
Trailing in it's wake
Were Envy and Belligerence
But I moved my hand across the page
Blurred lines of Red and white
And when its cold hand reached for me
I laughed and put up a fight
