Midnight
she laid down
eyes locked between
frostbitten toes
and mosquito-bitten
welts
darted back and forth between
coffee cups and
coffee stained kisses
held her head high to
catch the milkyway stars
on the tip of her tongue
sweetening her every word
to taste as sugared down
as the candy-coated
compliments she hid herself behind
its amazing what you can find
when you taste the stars
