Swear on the Bible
Swear On the Bible
By Christopher LeClair
Never knowing what it’s like to struggle,
Daddy’s little angel, never doing wrong.
Growing to be stuck up, never giving
A flying ****.
Snobbish, wretched, foul-tempered attitudes
Shine through, like beams of light, bouncing
Off a diamond not caring enough to hide
The reflection.
Coddled from start, they grow up knowing
Nothing but a lavish life, already rich at adolescence.
They take up politics, never throwing an
Impoverished dog a bone.
Filling their pockets, bank upon bank,
Never thinking to stop and say thanks.
Plunder upon plunder, while people innocently slumber
Stand up and make them give a ****.
