Warm and cozy blankets cover me
My eyes begin to drop
and my mind slips away
shutting down, not shutting off
Waiting for permission to start a new day
Sleep
A field full of color
A beautiful meadow
Springtime flowers
I could lay here for hours
Dancing in rapid circles
Dreams
Broken glass
A half a face
A foggy pane
A sudden chase
mischievous eyes
Nightmares
A hazy light
An outside hand
Shakes my body
Still half asleep
Breaking from my twisted dreams
