Family is a funny word

Family sticks together, family are permanent friends...

No, TRUE family is different
TRUE family is talking about one another behind backs
True family is putting on the masque, and pretending to love one another.
True family is something hideous.
But...at the same time, true family is lovely
True family is companionship;
True family cares.
And this is why there are few -true- families.
This is why I do not believe in families
The idea of humans living in harmony has been tried a millions times over
The idea is a pipe-dream.
Tell me this is not true?
Think for a long while, we’ve all done it.
Think back, and tell me you cannot recall a moment of spite, from your mother
Or your father
Or your sister
All of this hate, all of this anger onto another because of the way they are.
It is despicable.
But, I have accepted this
I do not give it a second thought
Let my Aunt,
Let my Uncle,
Let my cousins,
Let them all say what they will
Because this is what true family does
But know this:
Just because they say it
Does not mean it is true.
Do not think for one moment that anything spit at you from anybody is correct
I’ll tell you why:
Because it is not true.
In fact? I have a challenge for you, dear reader
I dare you to prove them wrong
Show those sorry excuses for family that you are not what they think.
Strip them of their masques
Make a false family of them.
Because False Family is true family.
