I am Ja-Brina
Born in September
Happy as can be
I am unique
With Brains

I am Brina
This is Original
I am a Sophomore
Who felt
Scared
Very Scared
I’m glad I made it
I’m finally here
Through the long days
And long nights
Crying because you weren’t here

I am Mina
The old me
But was only there to see
That…

You weren't there
You weren't there for me
She came
She left
She’s back again

I’m happy to see those cheeks again
I wish,
I wish
That this was me
The old me
I came
I left
I’m back again
But still
I am me again

What inspired me to write this poem is that Ja-Brina is my real name, and Brina and Mina is what everyone else call me. So know as I just turned 16 years old I started in a diary to tell my story and what I do day in and day out with my life. The Ja-Brina part is tell that my name is unique, when I was born, that I’m smart, and a happy person.
The Brina part is telling you that I was scared to come to high school and that I’m a cry baby. And it also tells you that I was happy I made it. Grade wise. The last part Mina it tells you a story about my personal life the nickname Mina came from when I was little I came up with it myself. It tells you how sometimes I tend to not put myself first. And how I cried because, someone was not there for me.
