Sleep eludes me
on this humid night,
My only companion
is the frog out my window
croaking about it's loneliness.
MY restless mind
continues to wander
through its endless
pathways of thoughts,
some lead to brilliance,
others are scrambled eggs.
I feel scrambled
and soggy tonight.
Sleep is a hushed friend
I wish would speak
But our paths may not cross
For awhile
Due to my scrambled brain.
Good night to those whose
Sleep eludes them.
