Lost Souls
Trapped is what they were,
Looking for a way out of limbo,
The door suddenly cracked,
The sight of light made them talk of hope.
But their leader wasn’t very fond of hope or anything that brings it.
He was now furious at the others,
Making them be quiet as he contemplated,
He couldn’t think clearly with all the voices,
So he shut them up at once.
The door slammed shut,
Pitched black now,
Not a word or slightest sound.
They began to weep and whisper softly,
With each sound grew a roar.
And their leader fell to pieces,
The slight chance of him ever being whole again was gone.
His soul slowly desiccating,
He tried to rise above his sorrow and open the door,
But he was struck down by the others.
And the body that holds these souls tried to adapt to their ways.
