If I were a ghost,
While you walked the earth,
And I called out your name,
But I couldn't be heard...
If I fell behind
As you ran ahead,
And all of our memories were left for dead...
I'd write you a letter,
Something like this...
Expel all my energy to lend you a kiss.
And if I fade away
Like a pile of rust,
Ashes to ashes dust to dust...
If these words were my last
I'd want you to know,
You're all that I think wherever I go.

I was given a writing prompt: if you could only write one more thing, what would it be? And so I took on the challenge. This is what I came up with.
