Don't you forget me
Don’t you forget me,
for I haven’t.
Haven’t been able to.
I know that you wish I had let go of you
but I simply can’t.
For how can one let go of
such childish purity?
How can one be able to move on
from that innocence?
From those long days never seemed to end
and the from all of those beliefs
which contained a lot of clarity.
Many have told me to forget about you,
for they believe it is the right thing to do.
But how can one forgot the carefreeness,
the easiness that came with that life?
Remembering the moon and the stars
from those dreams is calming.
Thinking about those days, unlike
these new ones filled with endless work
is refreshing.
Those days; they’ll always be in my memory
so I won’t ever forget about you.
