Shifted slightly left
Returned before revealed
Melted into sheets of black
Dim and grim and curious
Hardly concealed
Bright features within the night
Missing windows to the soul
Bottomless, a hunting pair
Barricaded within
And imminent meeting
Prodding at the martyr
Itching and twitching and ossified
Omniscient being
Bordering every bough
Sooner or later?
Rapacious and voracious and ravening
Extorting what is closed within
A turning head, a shaking yes
Cradled in tightly clasped
Death closed upon your wrist
