My star

I like that white fireball glowing in the sky
Its a shame, every morning it has to die

With the blazing sun, it can not compete
It doesn't possess that dazzling shine or the scorching heat

The fiery yellow Sun may make the world bright
But it is my Star the fills the world with delight

Like a little twinkling diamond, it adorns the night
So humble in its glow, so comforting in its sight.

Well, when I wrote this one, I meant it literally. I find the stars of the night sky more comforting than the Sun.
But when i read it again, I realized the poem reflected my personal tendency of preferring small gestures of love and care over big shows of emotion.

My only love sprung from my only hate. Too early seen unknown and known too late.

This is my favorite poem that you have written so far. :)

This is really pretty, and well written. Does it have a deeper meaning?
