A stroll with elapsed time
The other day, I was strolling with my future.
She would not foretell her present state,
But kissed my worries goodbye.
All paths I ventured on, for
The better or for the worse,
Brought knowledge and wisdom.
Age handed me a tool known as womanhood. Knowledge becomes powerful when action is applied.
My past tugged my hand,
Wicked grins and sinful chapters,
“Darling, don’t you forget us, we make you human. And you dear, you are
Drowning.”
False! Claimed my future, living in
The past is like running into a wall
Repeatedly. You’ll know the pain, texture, moment but it will only become frustrating and inflict unnecessary regret.
Hug your past, slide your fingers on the wall and go find a door and move on.
I looked up, took a deep breath of sanity, and smiled.
The unknown was intoxicatingly
-delicious.
