the day is long
i read a book
into the wee hours
trying to escape this world
its pain
its heartless games
but too much is real
i cant deal
my eyes
the light hurts
the pain it
disconcerts
please let me sleep
i swear ill breathe deep
oh worrisome mind
stop the thoughts
the incessant worrying kind.
