&quot;It&#039;s not a matter of &quot;can I change the world,&quot; it&#039;s about &quot;how do I want to change the world?&quot;&quot; <br /> -Severn Cullis-Suzuki

It’s hard to coordinate mood and weather,
unless it rains.

Does the future only scare you,
when you know it’s something
you’ll have to face?

They say, when it rains, it pours.
What do they say when eyes rain?

Eyes, damned shut
by the weakest of skin

Skin breaks,
so do promises.
Promises of me and you,
wash away as quickly as they came.

When will I see you again?

In the eye of the storm,
flash-floods and hurricanes
can be withstood by the strongest of barriers,
like the skin that houses my heart and lungs.

Nothing can protect us from the water as it spills
over and under and through.
The salt that invades eyes like little warriors
fills my lungs and takes out the air,
and puts your heart in your stomach--
buried deep, like secrets.

Cleansing,
Eradicating,
Suffocating,

Until darkness ensues,
and we are home again.

This poem is about truth, and how much it hurts and stings and envelops us--and how unavoidable it really is.

Exercise to stimulate, not to annihilate. The world wasn&#039;t formed in a day, and neither were we. Set small goals and build upon them.

Its good Writer!
