~Time~
Time,
The poison of life.
The seconds tick by,
Minutes
Melting into
Hours
Into days, weeks, months, years…
All the while
Cutting another life shorter.
Everything’s born
Only to die,
And Time simply reminds them
How short their time really is.
Each soul
A mere blip
In the eternal life of Time herself,
An infinitesimal moment,
Easily forgotten,
Easily lost.
Time,
The poison of life.
She is said to heal wounds,
But some wounds run deep
To the core,
So deep not even Time can fix them.
Instead,
She makes them worse,
Infecting the site
With her incurable toxins,
Deepening the wound,
Destroying a life,
Erasing it from existence.
Immortality becomes
A pleasurable change,
An irresistible path
Compared to the horrible death
Of a human’s life.
But forever is a long time,
And watching it pass slowly,
While others
Die
And you keep on
Living,
Death becomes the next obsession.
Either way,
Time satisfies
No one.
And in the end…
She
Always
Wins…
