Tiny Memories
I laughed in the face of time
I told it to take a hike
Never did I think it might
Pick up a stick and climb
It climbed so fast, and yet so slow
It was time, time lasts, don't you know
It climbed right on, you see
But time commanded me,
I did what I was told
But I still grew old
The lines on my face twisted
My eyes hidden behind velvet
And time climbed on
Right past my soul
