Why do we grieve?

When they said that there will be in a better place when they leave

Why do we have borders?

When you gave us freedom, but with strict orders

Why are we shunned into silence?

When we are promised a world with no violence

Why is our world slowly loosing color?

Even our senses are becoming duller

Why is love kept far apart?

Until black turns the heart

Where went the world where knowledge was power?

Now slowly, we are sinking towards our darkest hour

Why must we live in this nightmare?

We have done no wrong, yet it fills us with despair

It’s too late to ponder and think

For now this world is at its brink

What have we created?

This ungrateful place which is hated
