there are mornings
that i wake up
incredibly hung-over,
yet i never drank.
so why
does my head
pound
louder than my heart,
which somehow
seems to have gone missing?

ahh.. that’s right..
you stole it
along with dozens of others
and broke it,
throwing the pieces
into your ever-growing pile
of unrecognizable
shattered emotions.
so thanks,
i really do mean it
because now i understand
what it really means
to feel nothing.
